Learn how to apply as a Seed Bride vendor through JanaTribe, meet the requirements, and become part of a community making wedding dreams possible.
The Seed Bride Initiative brings together wedding professionals who believe that their skills and services can do more than build their businesses. Through Excellence, Collaboration, and Impact, vendors come together to help a deserving couple celebrate their love and begin married life with a wedding they might otherwise struggle to afford.
Over the years, the initiative has helped turn difficult seasons into beautiful new beginnings. In 2022, Solomon and Abigail, whose wedding plans had been held back by financial challenges, received a fully sponsored engagement and reception. In 2023, Samuel and Benedicta’s relationship endured the emotional and financial strain of a tragic accident and a court case before vendors came together to make their wedding possible. Then, in 2025, Ebenezer and Hannah became the first Kumasi couple selected for Seed Bride, with 45 wedding vendors travelling and contributing their services to bring their celebration to life.
Behind every one of these weddings are professionals who chose to give their time, talent, and resources to make a difference. Your business could be part of that story. If you are a wedding vendor in Ghana and want to contribute to something meaningful, this guide explains how to apply through JanaTribe, what you need before applying, and what to expect along the way.

Requirements Before You Apply as a Seed Bride Vendor
Before applying, make sure your business is ready to contribute to a couple’s wedding. Seed Bride brings different wedding professionals together, so applicants should be able to showcase their work, commit to a specific contribution, and deliver what they promise. Here is what you should have in place:
- An established wedding-related business in Ghana:
You should offer a wedding service or product as part of your business. - A public portfolio:
Have examples of your work available on Instagram, TikTok, your website, or another public platform where your work can be viewed. - A service or product to contribute for free:
Be willing to offer a specific service or product at no charge to the selected couple. This could include wedding planning, photography, videography, bridal makeup, hair styling, décor, catering, wedding cakes, desserts, drinks and cocktails, bridal gowns, suits, jewelry, accessories, flowers, invitations and stationery, wedding venues, furniture and rentals, sound and lighting, entertainment, MC services, live music, dance, transportation, accommodation, wedding favours, gifts and souvenirs, beauty and grooming, or honeymoon services. - Availability on the wedding date:
You must be able to deliver your agreed contribution on the couple’s wedding day or within the agreed service period. - Readiness to cover applicable logistics:
If the wedding is outside your city, be prepared to handle transport, accommodation, and other related costs where necessary, unless other arrangements are agreed upon.

How to Become a Seed Bride Vendor
Applying to become a Seed Bride vendor through JanaTribe allows you to contribute to a couple’s wedding while building your presence in a growing community of wedding professionals. You also get a free business listing on JanaTribe, giving potential clients another way to discover your services.
Step 1: Open the Seed Bride Vendor Application Page
Visit janatribe.com and scroll to the Seed Bride Initiative section at the bottom of the page. Click Apply as a Vendor in the navigation bar to access the application form.
For a more direct route, visit janatribe.com/seedbride/vendors/apply. You can also click the link in JanaTribe’s Instagram or TikTok bio to get started.
Step 2: Enter Your Brand or Business Name
Once you open the form, enter your brand or business name in the first field. As you type, you may see suggestions for businesses already listed on JanaTribe.
- If your business appears: Select the exact matching name from the suggestions.
Note: You will need to complete a security check to verify that you own the business. This may involve sending a verification code to JanaTribe through WhatsApp or Instagram DM. Once your ownership is verified, JanaTribe will send you temporary login details so you can access and manage your existing profile. Once you successfully log in to your account, your Seed Bride application will be received for consideration.
- If your business does not appear: Enter your business name and continue filling out the form as a new vendor.
Note: After completing the process, you will receive an email asking you to set a password for your JanaTribe account. You can then log in to review your pre-drafted business listing and add more details about your business, services, starting prices, and other information you want potential clients to know. Your business listing is free.
Step 3: Complete Your Business Details
Fill in the remaining fields with accurate information about your business. You will be asked to provide:
- Instagram handle, such as @yourbrand
- Service category, such as photography, catering, or makeup
- Email address
- Phone or WhatsApp number
- City
- Portfolio link, if available
Make sure your contact details are correct so the Seed Bride team and JanaTribe can reach you if necessary.
Step 4: Explain Why You Want to Participate
The form asks, “Why do you want to become a Seed Bride vendor?”
Use this space to share your genuine reason for wanting to contribute. You might want to help a couple celebrate their wedding, give back through your craft, or collaborate with other wedding professionals to make something meaningful happen. Keep your answer personal, clear, and concise.
Step 5: Describe What You Will Contribute
Explain exactly what service or product you are willing to provide at no charge. Be specific about what your offer includes so the team can understand the contribution you are making.
For example, instead of writing “photography,” you could write: “Full-day wedding photography with two photographers and an edited gallery delivered within three weeks.”
A clear description helps set expectations about what you are offering.
Step 6: State the Approximate Value of Your Contribution
This field is optional. If you choose to complete it, enter the amount you would normally charge a paying client for the service or product you are offering. This helps communicate the value of your contribution.
Step 7: Review and Submit Your Application
Before submitting, check that your business details, contact information, and proposed contribution are accurate. Make sure your offer is realistic and that you can deliver it as agreed.
Your application will be considered for the relevant Seed Bride edition. Applying or claiming an existing JanaTribe profile does not guarantee selection. It gives you an opportunity to be considered while helping you establish or manage your presence on JanaTribe.

What Benefits Does the Seed Bride Initiative Offer to Vendors?
Becoming a Seed Bride vendor is about more than contributing a service to a couple’s wedding. It gives you the chance to put your skills to meaningful use, build relationships with other wedding professionals, and introduce your business to a wider audience. Here are some of the benefits.
- Make a meaningful difference:
Use your skills, products, or services to help a couple celebrate their wedding, especially when financial challenges might otherwise make their plans difficult. - Gain visibility through campaign coverage:
Depending on the edition’s coverage, vendors may be tagged in social media posts, featured in campaign content, or included in collaborative posts. This gives people who discover the campaign an opportunity to find and learn about your business. - Build relationships with other wedding professionals:
Work alongside planners, photographers, decorators, caterers, and other service providers. These connections can lead to new relationships, referrals, and opportunities to collaborate beyond Seed Bride. - Become part of a community with a shared purpose:
Join wedding professionals who value excellence, collaboration, and impact. It is an opportunity to contribute to something bigger than your individual business while building connections across Ghana’s wedding industry. - Establish your presence on JanaTribe:
Through the partnership, you can become part of JanaTribe’s growing community of wedding professionals across the country. New vendors receive a free business listing, while existing vendors can claim and manage their profiles, add business information, and showcase their services. - Give your business another way to be discovered online:
A complete JanaTribe profile gives potential clients another place to find your business, explore your services, and learn more about what you offer. JanaTribe also attracts over 20,000 visitors per month to its platform, creating an additional opportunity for visibility. A well-maintained profile can support your online presence, including your discoverability through Google, although search visibility and rankings are not guaranteed.
Seed Bride allows you to contribute to a couple’s special day while building relationships and strengthening your business presence. The wedding may be the reason you join, but the connections and visibility you gain can continue to benefit your business long afterwards.

What Happens After You Apply?
Once you submit your application, the next step is to wait for the Seed Bride team to review it. Selection is based on the needs of the edition, the services required, and the vendors available to deliver their contributions. The initiative has also announced that vendor selection is on a first-come, first-served basis, so applying early is a good idea.
Here is what to expect after applying:
- Your application is considered:
The team reviews applications and considers which vendors best fit the needs of the upcoming edition. Make sure your proposed contribution and availability are clear. - Selected vendors are contacted:
If you are selected, the team will contact you with further information. According to the initiative’s announcements, vendors who are not contacted have not been selected for that edition. Submitting an application does not guarantee selection. - You may be invited to a WhatsApp group:
Selected vendors may be asked to join a dedicated WhatsApp group where the team shares announcements, provides updates, and coordinates preparations for the edition. - Your contribution is coordinated:
Once selected, you will receive further information about your role, the couple’s needs, the wedding date, and how your service or product will be delivered. Make sure you understand and agree on the details before making final arrangements.
Important: Do not consider your participation confirmed simply because you have submitted an application or completed your JanaTribe profile. Wait until the Seed Bride team contacts you and confirms your selection before treating your contribution as part of the edition’s plans.
If you are ready to contribute, apply early, be clear about what you can offer, and keep your contact details up to date so the team can reach you.
