Ebenezer and Hannah became the first Kumasi couple to be chosen for Seed Bride, as 45 wedding vendors came together to make their wedding dream a reality.

The 2025 edition of the Seed Bride Initiative marked a major milestone as it celebrated five years of helping couples bring their wedding dreams to life. For the first time, the initiative expanded beyond Accra, selecting two couples for its anniversary edition, one from Accra and the other from Kumasi.

Ebenezer and Hannah made history as the first Kumasi couple to be selected. Their journey to marriage had not been without challenges, but their faith and determination kept them going when financial difficulties threatened to delay their plans.

On October 17, 2025, 45 wedding vendors came together in Kumasi to make their wedding possible. For the first time, JanaTribe joined the initiative, documenting not only the couple’s special day but also the people, skill, and generosity behind it. Here is the story of Ebenezer and Hannah, and the wedding that brought a community together.

Ebenezer and Hannah, the 2025 Seed Bride Kumasi Couple

Ebenezer and Hannah were selected as the Kumasi couple for the fifth anniversary of the Seed Bride Initiative. Their selection marked the first time the initiative had chosen a couple from Kumasi, as the 2025 edition introduced The Double Seed, celebrating two couples in two cities: Accra and Kumasi.

Ebenezer and Hannah’s Story

Ebenezer and Hannah first met by chance at Manhyia Government Hospital in Kumasi. What began as an unexpected encounter quickly turned into a connection that felt natural. They started talking, vibing, and getting to know each other, with a comfort that made it seem as though they had known each other for years.

As their relationship grew, they began making plans to get married. But their journey did not unfold as they had hoped. Financial challenges made it difficult to move forward with the wedding, and they eventually decided to pause their plans and pray for a way forward.

For Hannah, faith became an important part of that waiting season. A friend sent her a flyer for the Hallelujah Challenge, an online programme of praise, worship and prayer. She joined, and when participants were asked to write down seven things they wanted God to do for them, one of her requests was for favour to help her and Ebenezer get married.

They continued to hope and pray. Then, while watching Instagram Stories, they came across an announcement that applications were open for the Seed Bride Initiative. They saw an opportunity to share their story, submitted their application, and waited to see what would happen.

Their selection brought a turning point in their journey. Ebenezer and Hannah became the first couple from Kumasi to be chosen for Seed Bride, with 45 wedding vendors coming together to help bring their wedding dream to life. Their celebration on October 17, 2025, was part of a landmark edition that marked five years of the initiative and expanded its reach to two cities.

For the vendors, the commitment went beyond showing up on the wedding day. Many travelled from Accra to Kumasi with their equipment and other logistics, taking on additional costs to contribute their services. During JanaTribe’s conversations with some of them, they shared that they were doing it for God. When asked what their services would ordinarily cost a paying client, the lowest amount quoted was GH₵3,000, while the décor alone was valued at over GH₵100,000.

This was also JanaTribe’s first time participating in Seed Bride. Our coverage celebrated not only Ebenezer and Hannah’s love story, but also the wedding professionals whose skill, sacrifice, and generosity made the celebration possible.

Looking back on the initiative, the couple expressed gratitude and prayed for God to bless the team and help them continue the work they were doing for other couples. For Ebenezer and Hannah, Seed Bride became a reminder that even when wedding plans are delayed by financial difficulties, hope can come from unexpected places and the kindness of people willing to give.
