Every wedding starts with a little hope. Here’s how you can help make a couple’s wedding possible through donations, sponsorships, and other contributions.

Every wedding starts with a little hope, but for some couples, financial challenges can make that dream feel out of reach. The Seed Bride Initiative exists to change that. It is a faith-led community effort that brings wedding professionals, sponsors, and generous supporters together to help couples who need support celebrate their love.

Over the years, couples who have faced financial hardship, painful setbacks, and difficult seasons in their relationships have received support through the initiative. Their weddings have become possible because people were willing to contribute their time, skills, products, and resources. Guided by Excellence, Collaboration, and Impact, Seed Bride shows what can happen when a community comes together for a meaningful cause.

You can be part of that story, too. Whether you want to donate money, offer wedding services or products, provide sponsorship, or support a future edition, your contribution can help make a difference. You do not have to be a wedding vendor or wait for a particular edition to get involved. Here is how you can support the Seed Bride Initiative and help make another couple’s wedding possible.

How Is the Seed Bride Initiative Funded?

The Seed Bride Initiative is made possible through the generosity of wedding professionals, sponsors, donors, and other supporters who believe every deserving couple should have a chance to celebrate their love. Rather than relying on one source of funding, the initiative brings together different people and contributions to make each wedding possible.

Here is how it works:

  • Donated wedding services: Wedding professionals volunteer their skills and services, including makeup, photography, catering, décor, and other aspects of the celebration. They contribute freely as part of the initiative’s mission.
  • Financial sponsorships and donations: Individuals and organisations provide financial support to help cover wedding-related needs and other expenses that arise during preparations.
  • Products and other resources: Businesses and individuals can contribute wedding items, products, equipment, media support, or other resources that help bring the celebration together.
  • JanaTribe’s annual sponsorship: JanaTribe serves as the initiative’s yearly sponsor, supporting its work and helping with the right infrastructure for couples, vendors, sponsors, and donors.

Seed Bride is not a profit-driven project. Participating vendors volunteer their services rather than receiving payment for their contributions. However, organising a wedding involves many moving parts, and unexpected needs or changes can arise during preparation.

This is where financial sponsorships, donations, and other forms of support become especially valuable. They help the team address unforeseen circumstances, respond to additional needs, and coordinate preparations alongside the services vendors have already donated.

Ultimately, every contribution plays a part. Some supporters give their professional skills, others provide products or resources, and some contribute money to help cover expenses. Together, these acts of generosity help turn a couple’s hope of having a wedding into a reality.

Ways to Support the Seed Bride Initiative

You do not have to be a wedding vendor or have a large budget to make a difference. The Seed Bride Initiative welcomes support from individuals, businesses, organisations, and anyone who wants to help make a couple’s wedding possible.

Whether you want to give money, contribute your professional services, provide products, or help spread the word, there are several ways to get involved.

Donate Money to Support a Couple’s Wedding

A cash donation is one of the simplest ways to support Seed Bride. Anyone can contribute, whether you are a wedding professional, a business owner, or someone who simply believes in the initiative.

You can donate from GH₵10 or choose an amount that feels right for you. Payments are made securely by card or Mobile Money through Paystack, and a receipt is sent to your email after payment.

Every contribution helps the team respond to the needs that arise during wedding preparations. You do not need to give a large amount to be part of something meaningful.

Sponsor the Seed Bride Initiative

If you would like to make a broader contribution, consider becoming a Seed Bride sponsor. Individuals and organisations can provide financial support or other resources to help the initiative bring a couple’s wedding together.

You can express interest in supporting the current edition or a future one. If you are considering an ongoing partnership, you can also explain that in your sponsorship application so the team can discuss the possibilities with you.

Sponsorship is an opportunity to support more than a single celebration. It allows you to become part of a community working together to make weddings possible for couples who need help.

Donate Wedding Services or Products

Wedding professionals and businesses can contribute by offering their skills, services, or products. This could include photography, makeup, catering, décor, wedding attire, entertainment, and other services or items needed for the celebration.

Rather than providing a paid booking, you would be volunteering your contribution as part of the Seed Bride Initiative. Your expertise or products could help the selected couple enjoy a wedding they might otherwise struggle to afford.

If you run a wedding-related business and would like to contribute, consider what you can realistically offer and share those details through the sponsorship form. You can explain the type of service or product you are willing to provide and discuss the arrangements with the team.

Support Through Media, Promotion, or Other Contributions

Not every contribution has to involve money or a wedding service. You can also support Seed Bride through media coverage, publicity, promotion, or other resources that help the initiative reach more people and bring the right supporters together.

For example, media organisations and content creators can help share the initiative's story, while businesses and individuals may be able to provide resources that support planning and coordination.

If you have something else in mind, do not assume it cannot help. Use the sponsorship form to explain your idea, what you can offer, and how the team can reach you.

Whatever form your support takes, the goal is the same: to bring people together and help make a deserving couple’s wedding possible. You can start with a small donation, contribute your professional skills, or explore a sponsorship for this or a future edition. Every offer is an opportunity to be part of the story.

About Seed Bride Sponsors and Donors

Every Seed Bride wedding is made possible by people who choose to give their money, time, skills, products, or other resources to help a couple celebrate their love. The initiative appreciates every contribution, and sponsors and donors may be recognised through shoutouts on Seed Bride's social media posts and features in the Seed Bride section on JanaTribe.

For businesses, this can also be an opportunity to show their commitment to supporting couples and making a positive difference in the wedding community.

However, public recognition is entirely optional. If you prefer to contribute privately, you can request to remain anonymous. Your preference will be respected, and you do not need to have your name or business featured to support the initiative.

Whether you choose to be recognised or give quietly, what matters most is your willingness to help make a couple's wedding possible. Every contribution is appreciated, and every supporter has a part to play in bringing the celebration to life.
