Nana Kwame and Ernestina, the 2024 Seed Bride Couple

  • Edition: Fourth edition
  • Wedding Date: November 6, 2024
  • Location: Accra, Ghana
  • Participating Vendors: 50+ wedding professionals

Nana Kwame and Ernestina were the couple chosen for the 2024 edition of Seed Bride. More than 50 wedding vendors came together to contribute their services and products, helping the couple celebrate both their traditional and white wedding without the usual cost of hiring each service.

Nana Kwame and Ernestina’s Story

Nana Kwame and Ernestina first met on a social media app in March 2022. After their initial connection, Kwame lost Ernestina’s contact, but the two eventually got in touch again. That same month, Kwame lost his brother, beginning a difficult period in his life.

Ernestina became a strong source of support for him during his grief. As he struggled to cope with the loss, she stood by him and helped him through a challenging time. Their connection grew stronger, and they found their way back to each other, continuing to build their relationship.

Their plans to marry faced another setback when Kwame’s father fell ill. With his father needing care, Kwame had to direct his resources towards his family, making it difficult to move forward with their wedding plans. Despite these challenges, the couple held on to their hope of getting married.

In April 2024, Ernestina was taking part in a midnight prayer session when she shared an Alpha Hour link on Instagram. While on the platform, she came across the Seed Bride application opportunity. She quickly copied the email address, wrote their story, and submitted it. That decision would lead them to an opportunity they had not expected.

Through the Seed Bride Initiative, Nana Kwame and Ernestina’s dream of getting married began to take shape.

More than 50 wedding professionals contributed to their celebration, including luxury décor by Sprout Affair, valued at over GH₵60,000, gowns from House of Oath and Sima Brew, reception outfits by Shapes by Nelson, catering by Menscook, desserts by Buttercream Queen, and cocktails by Cocktail Laboratory.

Looking back on the experience, Ernestina expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Seed Bride team and every vendor who contributed. She prayed that God would bless them, enlarge their territories, and reward their generosity, so they could continue creating similar opportunities for other couples.
