Description

The owner, David Apim-Tetteh, is a professional jeweler with over thirty (30) years of experience, graduating as an industrial artist with a specialization in metal product design with a specific emphasis on quality jewelry design. After graduating from KNUST, David worked with a few local jewelry companies but had his work experience with Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC), a government jewelry house, for eight (8) years. His outstanding performance and skill elevated him from the bench to the head of the production department. David started Emefa Jewellery as a hobby, producing unique African designs for the tourist market. After working for eight (8) years, David resigned from PMMC to focus full-time on Emefa Jewelry.

As part of its market entry strategy, David used advertising channels like sponsorship of beauty pageant events like Miss Ghana, Miss Lux, Miss Tourism, Ghana’s Most Beautiful, and many others. Because of this, Emefa Jewellery can say boldly that almost all crowns for beauty pageant events in Ghana were made by us.

In the year 2003, Emefa Jewelry was formally registered as a limited liability company. Ever since, the company has become a household name in the jewelry industry, both in Ghana and internationally, due to the quality of our products and our on-time completion of customer’s orders. Emefa Jewellery currently has two shops in Accra: a gold & silver jewelry shop and a repair center at Haatso and the University of Ghana campus (Legon Hall), respectively.

The company is spearheaded by two (2) directors and a secretary and supported by a design & IT department, finance & administration department, production department, and sales department. We currently have a human resource strength of ten (10) permanent staff, two (2) apprentices, as well as attachment students. As part of our corporate social responsibility, we have collaborations with other local and foreign educational institutions, some of which are Kelley School of Business—Indiana University (USA), Kwame University of Science and Technology, University of Education—Winneba, and Blue Crest University, among many others, to provide a platform for students to enhance their skills and capabilities.
