Description
The W.E.B. Du Bois Memorial Centre for Pan-African Culture is a National Historic Monument of Ghana, under the umbrella of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts. It is a memorial place, a research facility, and a tourist attraction in the Cantonments. It was dedicated on 22nd June 1985 in Accra, Ghana. It is best remembered as the final resting place of Dr. William Edward Burghardt Du Bois and Mrs. Shirley.
The center is located on immaculate grounds of serene beauty, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the metropolis, Accra, which surrounds it near the city’s center.
Away from its purpose as a museum, the destination offers grounds for indoor and outdoor events. It has an open space, a lush garden, and a banquet hall for weddings, birthdays, parties, funerals, anniversaries, concerts, and other special occasions.
