DJ Phantom is a young and vibrant disc jockey in Accra, Ghana, best known for entertaining audiences at weddings and other events.
Description
DJ Phantom, born Lowell Kwesi Acheampong, is a graduate of the University of Ghana Business School, where he studied accounting and was the JCR president.
He is not your regular DJ. He is a scholar! He was the Entertainment Prefect at John Senior High and Minor Seminary and also graduated with a first-class honor at UGBS while serving as a student DJ and the JCR president.
“A part of what I wanted to achieve as a DJ was to add value to myself and also change the perception people have about DJs, including “DJs are school dropouts”, “DJs speak bad English”, “DJs don’t deserve to be student leaders” and other negative beliefs people have about DJ’s. I believe the image I have put out there is playing a role in attracting the respect DJs deserve.”
As the resident DJ at Eco House, Soho Restaurant, and White Gardens Restaurant in Accra, DJ Phantom Gh is very talented and good at mixing Afrobeats, hip-hop, dancehall, Caribbean, and other genres of songs.
He hosts an annual concert called the Phantom Experience where he thrills his fans to top trending songs, both African hits and contemporary charts. The first edition was launched on 16th August 2023 at Waves Lounge, East Legon. The concert had over 500 people attending, which led to a wonderful experience.
He has had the opportunity to play at well-known TV and radio stations, including 4Syte TV, Hitz FM, Starr FM, Ghone, Radio Univers, and Mx24, among others. Aside from these corporate companies, he has worked with personalities in the entertainment industry like Costa Titch, DJ Vyrusky, Guru, Gyakie, Kofi Kinaata, Kojo Manuel, and many more.
When it comes to other outdoor celebrations, he is highly recommended as a wedding DJ, who has performed at multiple ceremonies within the country and is praised for his excellent service and professionalism. He is described as being responsive, flexible, and easy to work with throughout the planning process.
